Welcome to our Melksham Oak Sixth Form Admissions page, where you will find all relevant information to support you to apply to become a Sixth Form student in September 2022. We welcome applicants from the current school and those currently attending other secondary schools.

Please fill in our application form to apply. Please remember to complete all details requested with the form. This includes ranking the courses you wish to select in order of preference by numbering the subject choices 1 to 6, with 1 being your first choice.
Please complete and submit your form by Friday 6th January. All students who apply for the Sixth Form will be interviewed and supported with their course choices.
Successful applicants will be invited to attend the two day Sixth Form Induction during the Summer Term of 2023. This is designed to support students to make a successful transition from GCSEs to their chosen Level 3 courses.
Students are required to Study GCSE English Language and Mathematics if they have not achieved Grade 4. We have lessons and support for these two GCSE courses.
A minimum of five GCSEs at Grade 4 and above, with individual subjects requiring a Grade 5 or 6. The average capped eight GCSE point score is also used to support the coursing of students onto appropriate courses.
More importantly, a student's place on any course is contingent upon the ability to meet deadlines and show a level of competence and ability to achieve a pass grade in the subjects being studied. All students are expected to show independent learning skills. To this end, each student's work is reviewed in each subject at regular intervals.
