Our students follow a broad three-year Key Stage 3 curriculum. In the Spring term of Year 9 students will select their GCSE options ready to start in Year 10.
Students are taught in mixed ability groups in all subjects except Maths, where they are streamed based on their prior attainment and in-house assessments.
For each subject a summary of topics covered in the curriculum and the sequence of learning is being updated as we develop and strengthen our curriculum and will be available on our website subject pages in due course. Students have an overview of subject content in their exercise books. We use regular retrieval practice as part of lessons and ongoing formative assessment to check progress as well as summative assessment at the end of topics or themes.
