Homeless Community Project

Homeless Community Project

Melksham Oak Community School sixth form have taken on community projects this year in order to create a better environment within the local and wider communities.

Our tutor group, 6O, have decided to create shoe boxes full of everyday necessities to give to the homeless community. We have chosen to do this particular project as the weather is turning cold and we would like to help people in need to receive items which can help make everyday life that little bit easier by giving them necessities that they may not obtain otherwise.

We kindly ask that if you have any items that could be donated, if you bring them to the Melksham Oak Community School's reception by Friday 13th December and we will make up the gift boxes. Items which we would kindly accept include toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, gloves, hat, scarf, warm socks, hand sanitiser, deodorant (roll-on), wet wipes, sanitary products, comb and tissues.

We are working with the charity Doorway which is a Chippenham based charity providing care and items for the homeless in North Wiltshire. Molly Webber 6O
