Duke of Edinburgh (DofE)

The DofE is a prestigious and internationally recognised award. Here at Melksham Oak we have an excellent track record of putting students through the programme and we have a dedicated group of staff who offer training support.
The award has 3 levels. Students can start their Bronze award in Year 9, their Silver in Year 12 and their Gold in Year 13. To achieve the award they have to complete 4 sections: Volunteering; learn a new Skill, take part in a Physical activity and complete an Expedition. The timescales increase for each level.
We run a comprehensive training programme for all 3 levels. Training is mainly completed on weekend training walks and a small number of after school sessions.
Anybody interested in joining up should contact Debbie Steer on Steerd@melkshamoak.wilts.sch.uk
