At Melksham Oak Community School, 53.1% of our Year 11 pupils in 2017 achieved grade 4 or better in new English and Maths exams. This represents the same proportion of pupils who last year achieved grade C or better in the old grading system, but in exams that are now far more challenging in terms of both content and assessment.

At A Level, our largest ever cohort of students achieved pass rates of 65% at A*-C and 34% at A*-B.

These results demonstrate the great performance by our students with the support of parents and teachers, especially in the light of the significant changes made to the exam system in recent years.
