During Year 10, all students will have a dedicated week focused on learning from the workplace; consisting of a number of experiences with employers, work shadowing project, enterprise days and online work experience.
Year 12s will be allocated a 2 week period for completing either external, shadowing or online work based experience.

Work Placements are run through the GroFar Careers Package in school within 'work placements'. It allows students to access meaningful placements within a comprehensive database to match their interests and needs. Students are able to access the system through desktop and mobile app allowing it to be fully accessible in and outside of school. They will engage in a digital logbook for them to manage their placements, action plans, targets, and log hours and experience at the touch of a button.
Students will complete a series of work readiness assessments throughout their placements and this will include a Start, Midpoint and Endpoint assessment; ensuring students receive quality placements. In addition, students and employers complete feedback forms for evaluation when placements are completed. All Health & Safety and insurance checks are managed through simple online forms, as well as having internal checks by the Work Experience Coordinator. Placement providers can complete assessments online and upload relevant documents also.
