At Melksham Oak Community School, we are pleased to offer a broad range of extracurricular, after-school opportunities for students from all year groups. We believe that there is more to school than what happens between 8:30am and 3:00pm, and that is why we offer something for everybody.
Please note that activity information shown below may be subject to change and should be confirmed with the session leader prior to the event.
Why Join a Club?
Young people’s skills start to grow and evolve from an early age, and their time at school plays a significant role in shaping their attributes and personality. By taking part in our after-school clubs, students enhance their social skills and enjoy spending time with other children outside of the classroom. They also develop a range of other attributes, depending on which club they attend.
MOCS Money Makers
Here at Melksham Oak, there is a brand-new club called MOCS Money Makers. This club allows students to come together to do something great for their community. Students will be set the task to create different fundraising events and opportunities for our school in order to raise money for those that need it locally, in the UK and the world. The club will meet after school on a Wednesday between 15:00-15:30 (it could sometimes be a bit later during events).
Students will learn new skills such as communication, working as a team; managing tasks and meeting deadlines. We are looking for people who are able to help us arrange events, raise donations and have fun.
We want people to know how great and kind our school is by being visible in the community and maybe even in the newspaper. You need to have a positive attitude, a big heart and a can-do attitude.
So, what are you waiting for? Come along to U1 after school on Wednesday and do your bit! Our next event will be collecting for Melksham foodbank; we’re looking for volunteers to help out and encourage donations.
From all of us at MOCS Money Makers
