Media curriculum information from Melksham Oak Community School.
Creative Media is an exciting subject that provides students with a creative space to develop fundamental media practical skills. Throughout our schemes of work, students are encouraged to use their creativity to develop a project and produce creative media content ranging from short films, television programmes, documentaries, television adverts, music video and film trailers. Students are encouraged to work as part of teams and as individuals to produce a project using HD cameras, Apple Mac Editing software and Green Screen Television Studio.
This subject follows a creative curriculum where learners are encouraged to develop ideas, plan and produce content for Film, Television and Publishing products for different scenarios and briefs of their choice. Creative media provides students with core skills they need to progress on to further and higher education within a media base subject such as Film or Television Production and Games Development.
